Welcome readers...

I am so bad at coming up with good titles for my posts!
I just downloaded the Firefox browser on my Mac...so now I can link and everything again....all the fun stuff I couldn't do on the dumb Safari!

I had such a fun time today! I had some friends sleep over at my diggs last night...and this morning we made cin rolls and had coffee. Then I wanted to show them were I work...(The Scrapbook Shop...check it out. I am working on updating the website!)...but anyway...Beth was there....(check out her blog) and she convinced us to take the class she was teaching today...It was fun! We made paper covered coaster....they turned out really cool. And everyones were completely different, but we all used the some product! This is a pic of the sample Beth made...shes awesome!
I got a couple of my friends hooked...and we are taking her Memo Board Class next Sunday! LOL :)

I stormed soooo bad last night...I was worried my car was ganna get hailed on! But it didn't! Thank God! Today was a crip, cool fall day...I love fall...When I drove my friends home....I stopped at McDonald's and got my 1/2 French Vanilla 1/2 Hot Coco...I havn't had one of those since I worked there...and that was like 3 years ago....It brought back momories! I so miss going the Friday night football games in highschool! And working Sunday mornings and drinking my French Vanilla and Coco!mmmmmmmmmm.....

School and work are consuming my life! I feel like if I am not at school then I am doing homework...and if I am not doing homework...then I am at work...and I have been sorta stressed out. So it was really good to have some fun with my friends! And I got to hang out with my friend Whitney...who is still in highschool...I havn't seen or even talked to her in a while! I love her! :D She's a sweatie!

I don't know what else to update y'all on...I feel like its been foreva since I blogged! I pop on to check my e-mail and thats about all I have time for...and the last couple days before today...I didn't even have time for that....I need to just get caught up on my homework...and then just keep up with it...I had to buy a bunch of stuff to do my projects and I never had time to go shopping for supplies...so I got kinda behind. But now I have some of them done...and ready to do.

Well..I am hunger so I am ganna go find some food somewhere....I hate having to buy my own food! What a waste of money....and I have been forgetting to eat...I have been so busy that eating is just not on my mind...but I could loose 15 pounds...that wouldn't be a bad thing. Ok...but my tummy is telling me to go!

Peace out girl scout!

School repot...

So I had my first day of college on Wednesday. Sort of boring! I didn't start until noon, which was nice! But I had art history first...I think that class with be interesting, but sort of boring at the same time. I would rather be creating than listening to lecuture, but it has to be done. The prof. is cool. He is a younger guy that teaches full time at Macalestar College (that's where the people that didn't get into Harvard or Yale go! After that I had English....and man that was boring! I had to write a paper the first day! But I like writing so it wasn't that bad. But that class was defenitly the most boring so far! Then I go to Orientation to Art and Design. That was my favorite class of my first day. The prof. is a practicing photographer...total bonus!! And she's fun! We actually get to create in that class! WHOO! I have a project to do already...I have to create a zine...so pretty much just a small collage book that is photocopied over and over....it will be awesome to do!

I had my first day at the Scrapbook Shop last night too! That was so much fun! I love that store and the owner, Rhonda is so awesome. I feel like I have known her for years! And she had killer plans for me! I am doing all the sinage. I love doing that!! And she is havin' me do the newsletter. and she is having her webprogrammer come train me on how to do the web site so I will be updating and keeping that up! I love that sorta stuff!! Oh, and she had cool connections! She has someone that is able to print paper. My dream is to have my own product some day....and she said that I could use her printer and design my own paper! How rad is that?! And on friday she is having the team from Daisy D's in to do a make and take and fun stuff like that and I get to work! So I am totally stoked for that! So if you are in the Twins Cities area on Friday around 6pm...stop out and meet them....and me :)

Today I had another day of college...that is nuts! I am in college! I was up bright and early for class at 8:30 am...that's not horrible, but I stayed up way to late last night! Anyho...my first class was Drawing...and I love my prof. in that class too! She is a full time teacher at MACD. and she's totally fun too! And we got to draw today! It was sweet! Then I had my next class...Digital! I am going to LOVE this classes! It's like playing in Photoshop and Illistrator all the time! That's all I had today. Just two 3 hour classes...they seemed kinda long today, but once we start to create its going to fly by!

And NO CLASS ON FRIDAYS!! No first year foundations students (yes, all 55 of us! Really small school, its awesome) don't have class on Fridays!! So you know what that means...Thirsty Thursday!! no....JK....or am I? One will never know.......or will you?!

Well that's my last two days in a nut shell....I am liking college so far...just a little homework and reading...not bad, but just wait and see! :)

Peace out girl scout!

Bitter Sweet...

Today was my last day at Scrapbook Companions....it is sad...and I don't want to leave, but I had to make the right decision for me at the moment. Its bitter sweet. There is new thing for me in the future....like COLLEGE! I start school on Wed....that is unreal to me. I am not mature enought to be in college! And I havn't started to buy my supplies! You need a ton of crap for art school.....man!

I have been surfin' the web and found a really cool photo blog tutorial kinda thing...by Andie Smith. She knows just how to describe things that is like....man...that is so much easier than I have ever thought it was...check it out....http://andie-phototips.blogspot.com I especially like the three classes on exposure.

I submitted two pages to two different mags. I really hope they get picked up...I want to be pub. so badly....But one was a genral sub and the other was to CK's fresh face....so who knows. I have only submitted to a mag one other time. And nothing. So I hope I get atleast one.

I have no plans for Labor Day...just bummin' around. I am ganna scrapbook like mad! I need to create! I just have to do something!! I really want to go on a photo shoot too! I sorta had one the other day with Lizzy's lil bro and sis....but I want to play more...I need to learn how to better use my camera! I have such a high price camera....and I shoot in auto all the time...I need to put it in manual and learn how to function! I wish I could just plug my brain in and learn everything....But it doesn't work like that....Oh, well....Life goes on. Some day....I will be know what I am doing....hopefully.

I am hopeless

Thanks for the help Becky....but I guess I am hopeless....I found this on the Blogger Help Page

"Why don't I see all the text formatting buttons?
Blogger's text formatting buttons only officially work in Internet Explorer 5.5+/Windows, and the cross-platform Mozilla family of browsers (Mozilla 1.6+ and Firefox 0.9+). Meaning, we've fully tested them in these browsers. We recommend that our users use the latest release of Mozilla Firefox.

These editing features rely heavily on javascript, and will hopefully work in more browsers as they are developed and enhanced. For example, Dave Hyatt (one of Safari's developers) blogged on July 3rd that an upcoming version of Safari will support rich HTML editing. When this is available, Blogger will support it."

Macs use Safari.....so, I guess I will have to wait....hmpf......

Thanks, Congrats & Good Luck, and Junk.....

I want to say thank you to Ms. Amy Howe....I know that she had a very difficult time with the people from Scrapbook Critic and made the decision to close here blog. The people that were rude and cruel enought to post there and to do it annonomously should be very ashamed of themselves. Thankfully that blog has also been closed. I am proud and happy to say the Amy is starting another blog, a photo blog. The exceptions with this time around is that it will be a private place and require a password to view. I wold want to thank Amy for e-mailing me and I am very greatful to be on of the few that may view this terrific site. I absolutely love Amy's work! And no....don't ask for the password! I would never divulge that information!

I also want to give Ms. Dorene Weber....the owner of Scrapbook Companions in Albertville, MN, a huge congrats! More info later...And I wish her luck on her submission to the Ranger Design Team call. I know how much she would love to work with them! And I feel she would be a perfect fit! Good Luck Dorene!!

Junk in my life, I actually got to do a LO last night. I was at home (not my apartment) and I had a chance to get down into my studio. It felt so good to create!! And I have to say, that it turned out very well! You can check it out in my gallery at Cropper's Cottage. (just click the link on the side called "My Gallery") It is sort of a bad scan...but it was late!

Today, my roomate and I are having a day with the kids...Check out my iWeb for some really cute pics!! (I would link it directly here...but for some reason, on my Mac, the URL link deal isn't there...but got to the Larissa and Raymond page on my iWeb...click the link in the sidebar.) She has a little brother (1) and a little sister (3). We brought them down to the apartment and went to the park....we just finished dinner. No, we didn't cook. We ordered Green Mill. And let me tell you...what an experience. We orederd for an hour and the food still wasn't here...and its like 3 blocks away! So we called and they said that they couldn't find it.....and then they said that they did stop and rang the door bell, but no body came. Ummm...I am pretty sure that we didn't ever hear the door bell ring! They said it would be another half hour for them to make fresh food, but the chillens were starving, so we just settled for the cold stuff....It wasn't terrible, but hot food would have been much better! Now we are about to start a movie....We rented Madagascar....(one of my favorite movies....LOL...I know! Its a kids movie...but I am pretty much as mature as a 5 year old anyway!) So I better get going...they are pretty ancious.....

Peace out girl scout!
